One of the big, huge goals of My Town My Music is to build the Rochester music scene. In order to do that, we’re always on the lookout for energetic people who share that passion and vision. With that, we are happy to welcome Cameron Griffin as our new Events Intern!

What brought you to Rochester?
I graduated with a B.A. Biology and I thought my dream job was laboratory work (boy was I wrong), so when I graduated from college Mayo Clinic offered me a job and I took it!
What do you like best about Rochester?
Rochester reminds me of my college town (Valdosta, Georgia) so I like how it reminds me of home.
What is your ultimate vision for the Rochester music scene?
My ultimate vision for the Rochester music scene is to have more diverse concerts and performers. If there were 3 different artists performing in Rochester, I’m sure 2 out of the 3 artists would be in the same genre musically.

I enjoy a few different genres of music and they are Gospel, R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop, and Jazz.

Favorite song?! I have a lot of favorite songs! Here are a few of my faves:

Guilty pleasure artist:
H.E.R. is my guilty pleasure artist. I would legit skip work to attend one of her concerts.
When you can’t decide on music, who is your go-to artist?
I have so many!! I honestly go to Pandora and listen to H.E.R.’s station. The station always has a good mix of songs and vibes.

- I hate being the center of attention unless I’m sharing a story.
- I hate finding random pieces of hair on my belongings because it freaks me out.
- I am a sometimey Vegetarian..but 9.5 times out of 10 I prefer not to eat meat.
