5:30 PM – Soul Train – is a local mutli-genre band established 2020 during a time the when world was brought to its knees by a life changing pandemic. Our love of music brought and kept us together as we realized our contribution to the healing of the nation could be through covering some of America’s favorite tunes spanning some of the most influential decades of music 60s to current times. No matter the age we have a little something for everyone.

6:30 PM – Annie Mack – “After a bunch of years laboring away in the local blues scene, Annie began to branch out and broaden her sound. She was at the convergence of talent, experience and an R&B/neo-soul resurgence. She’s a talented woman who is finally getting her due. Mack is the classic diva. She shifts effortlessly from a Mavis Staples gospel to MoTown soul to a Koko Taylor growl. Her four piece band is rock solid and is the frame for the lady in the middle. It’s old school. Six free events in six parks, one for each ward in the City, on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, featuring local bands opening for regional/national/or international headliners. Promoting neighborhood vitality and livability, while emphasizing activities outside the downtown area. Designed to activate the City park system, and raise awareness of the City ward system and each ward’s representative on the City Council.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support Grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
