Yam Haus and Twin Lakes with Breakthrough, and Under the Pavilion

The Castle and Twin Lakes Band welcome Minneapolis-based synth-pop/rock band Yam Haus for their Rochester debut! Joining the bill will be Rochester bands Twin Lakes, Breakthrough, and Under the Pavilion.

Yam Haus

Forming after years of making music in high school, the Minneapolis-based pop band, Yam Haus, released their debut album, Stargazer, on June 8, 2018. Produced by Mark Heimermann at Sevens-Gate Studio in Hudson, WI, the band’s love for punchy pop, old-school rock and roll, sensitive folk, and the beat of hip-hop inspired their first album.

Yam Haus has developed a strong following in the Twin Cities since the release of Stargazer, selling out venues including 7th St Entry, Amsterdam Bar & Hall, and Phipps Theater, in addition to supporting Bishop Briggs at a sold out Mainroom show at First Avenue and being named as one of First Avenue’s Best New Bands of 2018.

Twin Lakes

Twin Lakes is folk rock with dark subject matter, catchy melodies, deep grooves, and lush harmonies. Intricate guitar parts interweave with funky bass lines, pocket drums, and lilting vocal melodies. We primarily play groove oriented, folk rock with a mix of covers ranging from classic hits to newer pop. Twin Lakes is a three piece band out of Rochester, Minnesota, consisting of: Robert Baune on guitar and lead vocals, Nate Pettey on bass and backing vocals, and Alex Ortberg on percussion and production..
